Hibiscus Peppermint Tea
1 TBSP Hibiscus Flowers
1 TBSP Peppermint Leaves
Add to quart jar, and cover with slightly cooler than boiling water. Allow to steep overnight, strain through a sieve into another quart jar to remove leaves. Sweeten to taste with honey simple syrup. (recipe below)
To make a concentrate:
Double or Triple the amount of leaves in the quart jar. After it has steeped overnight, strain into a much larger container, and add one or two more quarts of cold water (relative to if you doubled or tripled the amount of leaves). Sweeten with honey simple syrup to taste.
Honey Simple Syrup:
Add a bit of super hot water to honey and shake to thin and dissolve. Now you can use this to easily sweeten cold drinks.
Pregnancy version:
1 TBSP Hibiscus Flowers
1 TBSP Peppermint leaves
1 tsp raspberry leaf
1 tsp nettle
Add all to quart jar, steep overnight and strain.
